Gen. Lee Speaking

I've sat before a blinking cursor before, letting it mock me for not knowing what to make it do.  And even though there's a certain melancholy poignance to that little charade, the time for that is over.

I love the promise that a white space holds.  I double love the moments of undeniable perfection that arise seemingly from nowhere, like a pagan corn dance on a fall day that last will last forever, with some friends who've come and gone, and maybe they'll come around again.

I make it a point not to be too sure of anything.  Sureness blots out the bigger picture--the wider possibility--and often leads to the kind of judgement that makes for a fine cage.  If only the things of those cages were made more rather than less inert by them.

Stand up!  Believe without creating beliefs as if living by them will guarantee...anything.  There are no rules, guarantees or reasons to be cruel.  So scrutinze!  Explore!  And don't forget to fall back and enjoy the wonder.
